Sage Hotel & Julio's Restaurant

Located on the “activity spine” of West Perth at the south–west corner of the intersection of Ventnor Avenue with Hay Street, this project is the construction of a 14 storey (101 Guestroom) Boutique Hotel development incorporating the existing two storey brick & iron Federation Queen Anne heritage building located on the site (Julio’s Restaurant).  The site area of the development (Lot 6) is 804 sqm.

The ground floor of the retained Heritage Building is being extensively redeveloped to house the food & beverage (Bar & Restaurant) functions of the Hotel operation, with the all new kitchen, restaurant and bar facilities also designed to be independent of the Hotel use.  The new restaurant and bar will not just be for the exclusive use of hotel guests, but will also be a destination in itself, a “neighbourhood bar” if you like.  Redevelopment of the existing alfresco forecourt fronting Hay Street will further encourage the welcomed patronage of Julio’s Restaurant by the general public. The first floor of the heritage building will contain 3 luxury sized Guestroom Suites, and 2 generous Conference Rooms with access to the existing first floor ornate verandah balcony.

The 14 storey “Tower” portion of the Hotel development contains 98 Guestrooms from Mezzanine Level up to Level 12 inclusive, with Hotel Lobby and Reception, Administration and Hotel Operations located on the Ground Floor, and ancillary “back of house” functions, plant rooms and services located in the Basement Level.  Removal at ground floor level of a large portion of the southern wall of the Heritage Building will open up and create the connection between the Hotel Tower and the Bar/Restaurant functions.
