Cornerstone TavernDurley Way, Butler WA – Completed 2009

Overlooking the lake within the residential estate of Brighton, the brand new Cornerstone Tavern has been designed and built to reflect the architectural style of a village clubhouse.

Oldfield Knott’s design of the architectural and interior aspects of the single storey, 1,000m2 tavern satisfied the client’s brief of a layout to maximise operational efficiency and patron numbers in a flexibile configuration of space.

Strategies to mitigate noise, due to the close proximity of residential housing, included acoustically treating all glass and windows to the perimeter of the building and designing an internalised courtyard. External dining areas on the eastern side of the tavern allow patrons to overlook the lake and park across the road.
